Chinedu McKenzie debuts for Chatham Town

Chatham Town announced the signing of striker Chinedu McKenzie on Friday, and gave him a debut from the bench in the opening day win over Bognor Regis Town.

Chinedu ended last season at Carshalton Athletic, where he made twelve appearances, scoring once. He joined the Robins from Hastings United, moving to Pilot Field in October last year and making ten appearances, delivering four goals.

Chinedu played for Bowers & Pitsea during the 2020-21 campaign- what there was of it- and started the 2021-22 campaign at Herne Bay, making five appearances.

He was at Folkestone Invicta and Leatherhead during 2019-20, after leaving Tonbridge Angels. His departure from Longmead was confirmed in early November 2019, after he'd been at the club for ten months and was an important part of the squad that earned Playoff and Super Playoff success, scoring twelve goals along the way.

He made ten appearances for Angels in National League South at the start of 2019-20 before heading to Fetcham Grove.

Prior to his move to Longmead he was part of the Haringey Borough side that earned promotion to the Premier Division via the North Division playoffs, and went on to make twenty two appearances in yellow during their first Premier campaign before heading off to be an Angel.

He has also turned out for Burgess Hill Town, Greenwich Borough and Romford, amongst others.
