Midfielder returns to Hornets

Horsham

Midfielder Ryan Marriott returned to Horsham on Tuesday having agreed terms with the Ryman South's Hornets over the weekend.

The talented midfielder has been training with both Harlow and East Thurrock United this summer but opted to resign for manager Simon Colbran after travelling down from his Romford home on Saturday to see the Hornets take on Walton & Hersham in the FA Cup's Preliminary Round.

Colbran admits he hadn't been planning to make any fresh signings so soon into the new season but is still delighted to welcome Marriott back.

Colbran said: "I hadn’t planned to make any new signings but when someone of Ryan’s ability becomes available to you then you can’t say no. He’s a fantastic player who really wants to get involved again and I’m absolutely delighted to welcome him back."
