Aveley bring in former Wealdstone & Slough keeper

Aveley yesterday announced the departure of goalkeeper David Hughes, but Millers fans didn't have to wait long for a replacement, as last night they announced the arrival of Jonathan North from National League South side Slough Town.

Jonathan is a legend at National league side Wealdstone. He joined the club when they were still an Isthmian League side, went through the disappointment of two Play Off Semi-Final defeats and then helped them to promotion in 2014. He made almost four hundred appearances for the club before departing in January 2020, and was also a big success at the Rebels, but was announced as leaving the club at the end of last month. A free agent, the Millers have unsurprisingly snapped him up!

In between his time at Wealdstone and his time at Slough, he spent a pandemic hit period with Hendon.
