Minute's silence for London attack

By David Watters

The Ryman League will hold a minute's silence before all fixtures this weekend as a mark of respect to those who died or were injured in the London terror attacks.

Four people were killed, including police officer Keith Palmer, and around 40 injured in the capital's bloodiest incident of terrorism since the tube and bus bombings on July 7 2005.

League officials announced at lunchtime on Friday that fans, players and officials will come together to remember the dead and injured after the terror attack in Westminster on Wednesday before kick-off at all 36 fixtures scheduled in the Ryman Premier, Ryman North and Ryman South.

A Ryman League spokesman said: "As a mark of respect to those who have lost their lives or were injured in this week’s tragic attacks in London, Ryman League clubs will be asked to hold a minute’s silence."
