Monday's Ryman North action review

By David Watters

Aveley, fresh from hammering Redbridge 6-1 on Saturday, were looking to move to within three points of the top five in the Ryman North on Monday night when they entertained Phoenix Sports at Mill Field, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

Instead, the Millers found themselves on the wrong end of a 4-2 defeat which lifted their Kent visitors level on points with the hosts.

Adem Ramadan gave Sports a 23rd minute lead that Billy Holland cancelled out just past the half-hour mark. Junior Baker then gave the Millers a 41st minute lead, but seconds before the half-time whistle, Steve Springett equalised.

Jacob Mingle restored the lead for Sports 12 minutes into the second period before Ramadan`s second 16 minutes from time confirmed victory for the visitors and took them to tenth in the table.
