Monday's Ryman North action review

By David Watters

Thamesmead Town went nap away at Barkingside in Monday night's only game in Ryman North, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

An entertaining encounter at Cricklefields saw Tyrus Gordon-Young give the visitors a 13th minute lead that veteran striker Paul Vines doubled seven minutes later.

Luke With reduced the deficit from the penalty spot six minutes later, only for Mead to go into the half-time break 4-1 up with the much-travelled Vines completing his hat-trick.

Gordon-Young added his second and Mead`s fifth just past the hour-mark, with With netting his second spot-kick to reduce the arrears to three with 14 minutes to go.

The win moved Mead up to thirteenth in the table but they are only six points adrift of the top five in a very tight division, while Side remain fifth-bottom, just a point above the drop zone.
