Monday's Ryman Premier action review

By David Watters

Farnborough won for the first time since the opening day of the Ryman Premier season on Monday night when they beat fourth-placed Bognor Regis Town 2-1 at Cherrywood Road, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

Boosted by several new signings, Boro took a 14th minute lead through Bobbie Dale. And they held that lead until half-time, but just two minutes after the break they were pegged back when Snorre Nilsen netted the Rocks` equaliser.

And a draw looked on the cards until Dale popped up with his second of the game with three minutes remaining to win it for Spencer Day`s side.

Monday`s other game saw Kingstonian move into seventh spot after a narrow 1-0 win against Hendon at Kingsmeadow.

K`s were looking to recover from Saturday`s disappointing FA Cup exit at the hands of Evo-Stik League Southern Premier Division side Dunstable Town.

This game looked like heading for a goalless draw until Brendan Murphy-McVey popped up with an 86th minute winner for the home side.
