Monday's Ryman Premier action review

By David Watters

Hendon earned a crucial and ultimately fairly comfortable 3-0 win against fellow strugglers Farnborough at Earlsmead in the Ryman Premier on Monday night, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

Both went into the match on the back of 3-1 defeats at the weekend, leaving Hendon four points in front of the drop zone, but having played a lot more games than all below them, including Farnborough.

So it was a game that the Greens really needed to win and they went ahead after 25 minutes through Russell Short. And then crucially, right on the stroke of half-time, debutant striker Ismael Ehui grabbed a second for the hosts.

The third and killer goal came after 63 minutes and was an own goal by Boro`s Darryl Siaw. In the arguments that followed the goal, Boro`s Gary MacDonald picked up two quick yellow cards for dissent and was sent-off.
