Moore for Uxbridge

By Ian Townsend

Former Harrow man George Moore is new at Uxbridge

Uxbridge have announced the signing of attacking midfielder George Moore, best known for his years of sterling service elsewhere on the Piccadilly Line at Harrow Borough.

George made two hundred and thirty appearances for Borough, and delivered a rather exceptional seventy goals, so he will bring both guile and firepower. He has previously had two spells with North Greenford United, and also- almost a decade ago- spent time with Southall.

Those with good memories might recall the eleven goals he scored for Borough during their last Isthmian Premier campaign, 2017-18. Lowestoft Town fans have probably been trying to forget, three of them came against the Trawler Boys in a six-nil win on the 12th April 2018. He followed that twelve days later with two in a four-nil win at Dorking Wanderers- whatever happened to them?
