New Salamis managers Tommy Boxer & Finlay Johnson have been rather busy since their arrival at the end of last month, so we thought we'd catch up with new additions to the playing squad at the club.
Wranyel Hercules, a forward, finished last season at Pitching In isthmian Premier side Wingate & Finchley.
Wranyel made nine Potters Bar Town appearances from mid December to mid February before heading to Summers Lane, and moved to the Lantern Stadium having been with Enfield Town since September, making fourteen appearances in total, and scoring two goals.
Wraynel came through the youth setup at Barnet, prior to making a move to play for the B team of Premier League side Brentford. He played twice on loan for then South Central side Chalfont St Peter, scoring in a win over Staines Town just before the pandemic hit.
He spent a little time at St Albans City after departing Brentford, and has also spent a very short time at Biggleswade Town.
Another forward, Micah Jackson, moved across from Pitching In Isthmian South Central Play Off Semi-Finalists Northwood. Micah made twenty nine appearances with three goals for Woods last season, after joining the club in November 2021. He was previously with Enfield Borough.
Panayiotis Boxer came in from St Neots Town in the Pitching In Southern League. The midfielder was previously with Walthamstow, FC Romania, Chalfont St Peter, Mildenhall Town, Newmarket Town and Hadley.
Albert Adu returns to the club, after also spending time at St Neots Town. Albert made twenty seven appearances and scored six goals before his February departure, after making the move to Coles Park from Ware. He previously spent time at St Albans City, played abroad in Belgium, the Faroe Islands and Spain (so he should be used to the rain, the cold and the heat!), and earlier in his career played for Hertford Town and Broxbourne.
