Burnham Ramblers confirmed yesterday the appointment of a new player-manager.

Following the sudden departure of Lee Elliston as 1st team manager the Board have not held back in seeking out his replacement.

The Club announced that with immediate effect Bertie (Albert) Brayley will be joining the club as player-manager.

The former Swindon Town, Canvey Island, Margate, Braintree, Chelmsford City and FA Youth Cup winner with West Ham United is looking forward to this new challenge in his football career as he enters the management arena ably assisted by David Patient (Assistant Manager) and Leon Woodford (1st Team Coach)

Everyone at the club is exited about the appointment and he will take charge of his first game when the Ramblers play East Thurrock United at Leslie Field this Saturday 2nd August kick of 3PM
