New striker for Bury

By Ian Townsend

Shaun Avis signs on from Lakenheath

Bury Town- or rather, their local newspaper- have announced the signing of striker Shaun Avis from Lakenheath, and despite his name he's a permanent signing, not a rental (sorry, couldn't resist).

Shaun has been prolific for the Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division side, scoring more than one hundred goals. He may make his debut as Town travel to Gorleston (or rather to Lowestoft, who host Gorleston) at the weekend.

Prior to his time with Lakenheath he turned out for Halstead Town, Newmarket Town and Mildenhall Town. He got six goals in twenty two appearances for Mildenhall during the 2017-18 North Division season.
