Only Bay have the Ansah

Hythe hotshot moves to the other side of the Kent coast

It must be rather perplexing to be a Herne Bay supporter at the moment.

As recently as March the club were describing themselves as being in a "critical financial position." Players were leaving, and the management team went too- the future looked rather bleak. Fast forward four months, however, and Altira Park looks an entirely different place. A new management team, a new structure, financial stability and a large set of eye-catching new signings must make Bay amongst the favourites for success in the forthcoming season- but if you're a fan you must be wearing an incredulous smile and wondering what the heck happened!

Last night came another transfer announcement that must have caused a sharp intake of breath around the rest of the BetVictor South East Division, as Bay secured the signature of former Hythe Town talisman Zak Ansah. After returning a record of almost a goal a game for the Cannons we all suspected he'd be moving to a higher level during the summer, but instead he has decided to take a twenty five mile trip from one side of the Kent coast to the other (assuming he's using the A2 and not taking a more scenic route!).
