Pitching In Isthmian Supporters Predictions 22-23: Bognor Regis Town

By Ian Townsend

We're off to the seaside once more, in the company of Bognor fan Jordan Evans.

We're asking fans from each of our clubs to answer a series of questions about the past, present and future- and to predict the final league table for 22-23. We’re turning off to the seaside, courtesy of Jordan and the Rocks.

1. Thinking about last season, what were your highlights?
A stand out highlight for me was beating the champions, Worthing, away from home. I’d also like to mention the 0-5 demolition of Brightlingsea Regent.

2. Moving on to your current squad- which players do you think will make a big impact during the 2022-23?

I feel that Nick Dembele brings a lot to the table, alongside Tom Chalaye up front.

3. Realistically, how do you think you’ll do this season?

The play off’s should be achievable, looking at the new squad.

4. Which matches are you most looking forward to going to- and why?

Some new grounds definitely- Hastings United being one, towards the end of the season. Lewes and Horsham I enjoy visiting every season.

5. What is your favourite Isthmian away ground?

The Dripping Pan - just because of its iconic terrace where both home and away fans share the same space.

6. Who do you consider your biggest rivals- and why?

This season, Lewes, a Sussex derby.

7. Who is your favourite player of all time (for your club)- and why?

I would have to say Doug Tuck - spent a good 6/7 years at club, and growing up he just made me fall more and more in love with the game.

8. Who do you predict will finish in the top five this season?

Billericay Town, Bognor Regis Town, Bishop’s Stortford, Horsham, Kingstonian

Thanks Jordan- right, who's next? If you'd like to represent your club, email Ian at townsendaround@gmail.com and he'll be in touch shortly.
