Rams move quickly to appoint a new manager


Ramsgate last night announced that their replacement for Jason Lillis, who departed the club on Sunday, is former East Grinstead Town boss Matt Longhurst.

Matt, as you might remember, parted company with the Wasps almost three weeks ago. He took on his previous the role in October 2015, and was able to maintain the Wasps position at Step Four despite relatively limited resources. Last season they finished thirteenth in the South East Division, the highest placing in their history.

He left East Grinstead with the club still searching for their first win of the season. His new club are only one place above his old club in the South East Division table.
