Ramsgate have an unbeaten run which is almost two months long, but they have had to dig deep to hold onto it for the second match in a row. Ten days after a late, late goal earned them a point ahead Haywards Heath Town, the Rams once more showed strength of character to avoid defeat against a Sussex side, Chichester City the team feeling hard done by on this occasion. City had lost their previous five but looked back to their best when Ethan Pritchard put them ahead on the half hour- but the lead lasted only until the last minute of the first half, Taofiq Olomowewe levelling. Six minutes after the restart Pritchard took his tally for the season to eighteen and restored his side’s lead- this one from the spot-and it looked like City would record an impressive home win until Tijan Jadama breached their rearguard with only a minute left on the clock. The Rams go top- on goal difference.

Whitehawk travelled to East Grinstead Town hoping to narrow the gap to the leading duo, and on the back of a run which had seen them win seven of their last nine- but it turned out that the Wasps weren’t impressed by such statistics. Ben Aubrey put the hosts ahead on fifteen minutes only for Nathan Cooper to hit back six minutes later, but the hosts were ahead again by half time, Omar Folkes restoring their advantage two minutes earlier. It looked as if the visitors had taken a point- at least- when Alfie Rogers levelled with ten minutes to go, but deep into added time Ben Aubrey got a winner for Town, and lifted his side to thirteenth in the process, opening up a six point gap over the bottom four.
Sittingbourne went into last night’s match with VCD Athletic eight matches unbeaten, and a late show made it nine, whilst worsening Vickers prospects of survival. Athletic went ahead on thirty three minutes, Soul Kader taking his tally for the season into double figures, but the Brickies were quickly level through Joe Ellul. Five minutes from time the visitors suffered a killer blow, Correy Davidson giving the hosts the advantage for the first time, and right at the end a third goal secured three points, Dwade James with it. The Brickies are twelfth, seven points clear of the bottom four, whilst Vickers remain in eighteenth- although only a point from safety.
Finally, Three Bridges welcomed bottom side Corinthian to Jubilee Field, and by the end the Hoops were the bottom side no longer. Sam Fitzgerald gave the visitors the lead on sixteen minutes, and although Kieron Pamment equalised twenty minutes into the second half the Hoops grabbed a winner just before full time, substitute Jack Billings delivering three points and keeping his side’s survival hopes alive. Corinthian are nine points from safety, and eight points from the slightly-less-safe chance of a relegation play off.
