Robins win one-nil- again!

And a much-changed Moatsiders suffer another defeat

Carshalton Athletic moved up to ninth place in the Pitching In Isthmian Premier last night with a one-nil win over Margate- their fourth home one-nil league victory in a row. Steve McKimm's side's latest impression of George Graham's Arsenal came against a Gate side who played most of the match with ten men, after Fjord Rogers picked up two yellow cards in the space of thirteen first half minutes to depart involuntarily ten minutes before the break.

The ten men held on for only seven minutes before the Robins got their customary goal, Bradley Williams either heading home (according to Margate) or scoring with an overhead kick (Carshalton's view)- hopefully someone has a video to clear that up! That turned out to be that, although- aside from Rogers two yellows- there were seven other bookings, four more for the visitors. Margate have now lost their last three, and are down in fifteenth position.

In the Velocity Cup, a much-changed Merstham side with a collection of youthful debutants hosted Pitching In Isthmian South East leaders Chatham Town. Goals from Fabio Saraiva and Jacob Gilbert gave the Chats a two goal lead at the break, Daniel Thompson quickly added a third, and that was that- although Malachi Morris was dismissed for the already depleted hosts late on.
