Rocks book familiar foes in draw

By David Watters

Bognor Regis Town will travel to Maidstone United in the next round of the FA Trophy after being paired with last season's Ryman Premier champions in Monday lunchtime's draw for the first round proper.

The Rocks, 1-0 winners over National League Bath City on Saturday thanks to Jason Prior's injury time penalty, will fly the flag for the Ryman League when they travel to the Gallagher Stadium on Saturday 12 December.

Six Ryman League clubs went into the hat at Wembley with the winners of the 32 ties scheduled set to collect £5000 in prize money.

Ryman Premier leaders Dulwich Hamlet, 2-1 winners over National League South Margate at Champion Hill on Saturday, will travel to Bury Town while East Thurrock United will host Maidenhead United if they can overcome Merthyr Town when they replay on Tuesday night after drawing 1-1 in South Wales at the weekend.

After knocking out Bishop's Stortford with a 3-0 win at Chadfields on Saturday, Ryman North Tilbury were rewarded with another home tie against a National League South side after drawing Welling United in the next round.

Evo-Stik League Southern Hungerford Town await the winners of the replay between Grays Athletic and Corinthian Casuals who drew 0-0 in Essex on Sunday and meet again in Surrey on Wednesday night.
