Lewes have an East Sussex derby on Saturday, with Whitehawk heading to the Dripping Pan- and the bumper crowd expected may well be boosted by a large number of Emergency Services personnel, NHS staff, military personnel and even the odd politician (boo!) as the club have announced free entry to all public sector workers.
If you are a public sector worker, and you'd like some free football on Saturday afternoon with a magnificent view of the South Downs, just grab your staff i.d. and head along! It might well be a close game- the Hawks have won their last three matches to climb out of the relegation zone after looking certainties for the drop a few weeks ago, whilst the Rooks have picked up only two points from their last fifteen, and seem to have become the masters of the narrow defeat. That said, the home side have a match against Tonbridge Angels on Wednesday night which gives them an opportunity to get back to winning ways before the Hawks come calling.
When the two met at the Enclosed Ground earlier this season a Jonte Smith penalty allowed the Rooks to leave with three points.
