Rothery leaves Regent

Brightlingsea manager resigns

Brightlingsea Regent have announced that manager Tom Rothery has resigned from his post.

Yesterday they went two goals up at home to Lewes only to lose 3-2- their fourth consecutive defeat in all competitions, and sixth of the season- which leaves them in sixteenth place in the Premier Division and out of the FA Cup. Rothery led the club to unprecedented success, but has decided to call time on his reign, just short of its second anniversary.

Pip Boyland will take charge of Tuesday’s fixture with Enfield Town. Please read the club statement here.
