Seasiders make a quick appointment

Felixstowe announce the return of Boardley

Little more than twenty four hours after Felixstowe and Walton United announced the departures of manager Ian Watson and coach Danny Bloomfield, the Seasiders have also announced their replacements. A short time after yesterday's defeat at Hullbridge Sports the club let fans- who had seemed generally disgruntled by the departure of Watson and Bloomfield- that the new man in the top job would be another former Seasider, Stuart Boardley.

Boardley ended his playing career at the Goldstar Ground just over twelve months ago citing management ambitions, with Watson believing that “He will undoubtedly go on to be a great manager.” He hasn't had the easiest starts to his managerial career, taking over from Glen Driver at Leiston and having to deal with a mass player exodus- a problem which eventually caught up with him and saw him resign his post at Victory Road three weeks ago, despite the club wanting him to stay.

He now has the responsibility of turning around a dip in form which has seen the Seasiders pick up only two league wins all season, and lose their last four matches in all competitions. They currently sit in seventeenth place in the table.

He is joined in the dugout by Assistant Andy Crump.
