Sports sign Wellard

Bedfont Sports have announced the signing of midfielder Ricky Wellard.

Ricky, who came through the ranks at nearby Ashford Town, is best known for his time at AFC Wimbledon. He has also played for Cambridge United, Sutton United, Salisbury City and Welling United, and spent last season with Hampton and Richmond Borough in National League South, moving to the Beveree after two campaigns in the same division with Wealdstone.

This season has seen him back at Salisbury (although of course they've lost their 'City' whilst he's been away). He should be in line for his debut as his new club travel to Chertsey Town on Saturday.
