We've a number of fixtures this evening, so head out and watch some football. Here's our preview.

Pitching In Isthmian Premier

We’ve action in every Division of the Pitching In Isthmian League tonight, and some mouth-watering clashes in prospect.

Starting in the Pitching In Isthmian Premier, both Bishop’s Stortford and Folkestone Invicta could go third with victory. The Blues are on the road to face a rebuilt and perhaps resurgent Potters Bar Town, the Scholars having recorded a fine victory at Kingstonian on Saturday. The Blues are five games unbeaten, but they have dropped points in their last two, a goalless draw with Leatherhead followed by a six goal thriller at Haringey Borough.

Fifth place Invicta also drew on Saturday. They welcome a Bowers and Pitsea side walloped by Enfield Town at the weekend, but who were three games unbeaten prior to that. The last time the two met, in December 2019, Bowers triumphed three-one.

Bottom side Leatherhead, nine points from safety, are desperate to start a winning run. The Tanners welcome a Margate side who are seven points off a playoff spot and need the points for an entirely different reason. The Blues are on a run which has seen them win five of their last seven, whilst the Tanners had gone three unbeaten before losing to Cheshunt on Saturday.

In the Pitching In Isthmian North Division, Bury Town, who are in twelfth place and have won only two of their last six, welcome a Felixstowe & Walton United side who were in fine form until very recently, but have lost two of their last three. The Seasiders have a five point advantage over their hosts and are seven points off a top five spot, but have enough matches in hand to make up that number if they were to hit another winning streak.

We’ve a big derby as Maldon & Tiptree host Felixstowe & Walton United. At the start of the campaign we didn’t expect this to be a mid-table match, but that’s what we have, both level on points and nine points off the top five. This match is free to enter- the original game was abandoned with the Jammers a goal up and Swifts a player down.

We’ve a busy night in the Pitching In Isthmian South Central. Third place Chertsey Town, fresh from being the side who ended Bracknell Town’s seventeen match winning streak, will close to within fourteen points of the Robins (there’s no way we can make that sound dramatic) and go second if they can win at Binfield, whilst if fourth place Hanwell Town can better the Curfews result as they host Chipstead then they can also climb to second place. The Geordies are eight unbeaten and their striker Tom Collins should face the side he left to move to the Powerday earlier this season. He’s still the Chips top scorer, with thirteen.

Marlow will hope to close the gap on the top five with a win at South Park, the Sparks having won only one of their last ten, whilst their visitors are four games without a victory. Northwood are at home again so can’t add to their six away wins in a row, but would love to defeat local rivals and managerless Chalfont St Peter. The Saints could move out of the bottom two with victory.

Thatcham Town recorded a fine victory on Saturday, and they travel to face an Ashford Town side who have won only one of the last six.

Finally, in the Pitching In Isthmian South East Division, Herne Bay could climb as high as fourth place if they can win at Chichester City. Bay had a fine four-nil win against another Sussex side, East Grinstead Town, on Saturday- but City have won their last two and will put up a stern fight.

Hythe Town and Whitehawk both need the points as they meet at Reachfields. Level on points, neither are in good form, and both sides have just one win from ten- although the Cannons win was at the end of January, the Hawks win was more than two months ago.
