Stow appoint new boss- but playing quintet depart

By Ian Townsend

David 'Bart' Lorimer takes over at Stowmarket Town

Following the departure yesterday of Stowmarket Town management duo Richard Wilkins and Alex Rossis, the club moved quickly to appoint a replacement. The new boss is David “Bart” Lorimer with Liam Hawkins stepping in as first team coach.

Lorimer was previously the manager at Bildeston Rangers, a club who sadly retired from the Suffolk and Ipswich League due to financial pressures in mid September. Hawkins has been with the club almost all of his life, and has recently been in charge of their successful Under 18 squad.

The players named as departing the club are Scott Sloots, Jack Wilkinson, Taylor Hastings, George Bugg and Jamie Bennett.
