A Kentish cup derby, and a Premier tussle- all at 3PM

The Emirates FA Cup comes to Ramsgate today, but Ramsgate aren't playing- instead they are playing host to neighbours Herne Bay.

It shouldn't be much longer until Bay have a new pitch of their own to play on, but until it's finally signed off it's the Rams plastic which is fantastic. Their visitors today are Ashford United, so we have a Kentish derby with a place in the Third Qualifying Round draw on Tuesday the prize.

Bay haven't had the best of starts, with only one league win and one cup win from seven matches, but it's difficult to make a judgement on their form given they haven't yet had an actual home game in their own home. They defeated Horsham in the last round. The Nuts and Bolts have also had pitch problems of their own, luckily now resolved, and sit in fifth place in Pitching In Isthmian South East and three games unbeaten. This match is a rerun of last season's Play Off Final, which of course was won by Bay, so United will relish the chance of revenge.

The Pitching In Isthmian Premier sees a clash between Cray wanderers and Bowers & Pitsea. This season's Wands look a million miles away from last season's strugglers, and will move into second place if they win, a point behind leaders Aveley. If they bring the form they showed to defeat Folkestone Invicta on the Kent coast in midweek then they will certainly be favourites.

Bowers have drawn two of their last three matches so seem to have tightened up at the back, but still have only one victory so far this season and will hope to head back to Essex with at least a point under their belts. The last time they travelled to Hayes Lane, back in March, a topsy-turvy match saw them win four-three; but their side will also be almost unrecognisable from that victory.
