Sunday's Ryman Premier action review

By David Watters

Kingstonian made it five Ryman League Premier Division and cup games unbeaten on Sunday with a 2-1 Kingsmeadow victory over Canvey Island, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

In front of a crowd of 302, K`s took the lead on the half-hour mark through Pelayo Pico Gomez.

Eight minutes later Dan Sweeney doubled the home side`s lead. However, Martin Tuohy pulled the Gulls back into the game a couple of minutes before half-time.

But Canvey, who had lost their previous two games, saw their chances of getting anything out of this match take a massive blow when they had Tambeson Eyong dismissed for a second yellow card offence with 20 minutes remaining.
