During the past month, supporters answering questions for the Pitching In Isthmian Supporters Predictions feature have also been asked to predict the finishing positions of every club in the Division containing their team. We’ve already published their views on just about everything you can think of, and now we have the moment that causes the most pre-season controversy- the final predicted tables. You can be sure that these will be pinned on many a dressing room wall this weekend, particularly at those clubs predicted to struggle!

Finally, the Pitching In Premier Division.

The departure of Worthing, who were always the favourites last season and proved why, has race opened up the title race this season- but your view is that those who battled for promotion last season will be the same sides battling this season- with one notable addition.

You’ve given the title to Bishop’s Stortford, but not by much. Indeed there is little to chose between the Blues, Folkestone Invicta and Hornchurch in your view, with Billericay Town the only new name involved in the play off fight. You expect Lewes, perhaps helped by their beautiful new pitch which currently seems to be one of the few green spots left in Sussex, to take the final play off spot, just ahead of Enfield Town, who you think might struggle to replace the goals of Mo Faal- but then, who wouldn’t?

Of the promoted sides, you expect Hastings United to do best- but you still predict a mid-table season for the side from Pilot Field. You give a just below mid table finish to Aveley and Canvey Island, and but don’t have such high hopes for Herne Bay.

At the bottom end, four sides are scheduled to go down. You are quite convinced that it is Brightlingsea Regent’s turn to hold up the rest, and that Wingate & Finchley’s Premier tenure will also come to an end. Bowers & Pitsea have failed to convince you in the post Rob Small era, too. The final place in the drop zone you’ve given to Herne Bay, so you expect that Cray Wanderers will escape relegation by the skin of their teeth once more.

So there you have it! Now, time for our sides to get out there are prove our predictors right- or, as is most likely, wrong!

We’d just like to say a big thank you to all those who participated- a record number this year. This has been the sixth pre-season we have run these features, and they have never been more popular- either for participants or for those who enjoy reading them. Football is, more than anything, about supporters- and our league is lucky enough to be blessed with some of the very best. Have a marvellous season, which we hope brings you everything you wanted for your club.
