Swans appoint a new manager

Martin Kuhl is the new man in the Wheatsheaf Park dugout

Staines Town have announced that former Birmingham City, Portsmouth, Derby County and Bristol City midfielder Martin Kuhl is their new manager, taking over from interim manager Mahrez Bettache, who has been in charge since the departure of Anthony Gale.

Kuhl was most recently manager at Basingstoke Town, leaving the club 'by mutual consent' in September.

Bettache took over on October 5th, and under his tenure the side delivered some distinctly improved performances. He won five, drew three and lost five of his matches in all competitions, whereas prior to his appointment the Swans hadn't won a single one of their six league games.
