Terrors v Homophobia

Tooting and Mitcham United demonstrate their commitment despite a football washout

Tooting & Mitcham United FC designated their home game v Bracknell on Saturday 29th February 2020 in support of the Football v Homophobia campaign, which exists to challenge discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender identity and expression at all levels in football.

Unfortunately the weather meant the game was postponed but as yesterday was the last day of the Football v Homophobia Month of Action, a select group of individuals including the club’s mascot Terror the Tiger, got together to show their support for the campaign.

Caroline McRoyall, Chair of Tooting & Mitcham United FC, explained:

‘I have been a strong supporter of the FVH campaign since its inception and am pleased the club are able to demonstrate their support as well. It is so important that we continue to challenge all forms of discrimination and demonstrate that football is for everyone’.

Further details on the campaign can be found here.
