The Monday Essex transfer hokey-cokey!

By Ian Townsend

Two in, two out, one in, two out- and shake it all about, as Regent, Aveley and Sudbury all have transfer news!

We have a number of Essex transfer stories today, so we thought we'd share them all in one place to avoid confusion and duplication!

Firstly, Aveley have announced two new signings. Midfielder George Doyle has signed from Brightlingsea Regent, and the Millers have also brought in defender Julian Smith from AFC Sudbury. More news here-- and by the way, if you'd like to travel on the free coach to Burgess Hill Town for the FA Trophy tie on Saturday, don't hang about- it's almost full!

As if one player out of the door wasn't enough, Regent have also announced the loss of Tom Richardson, who has joined National League South East Thurrock United. Richardson, who has already found the net seven times this season- including both goals in the 2-1 victory over Harrow Borough at the weekend- has a record of better than a goal every two games during his time at the Taydal Stadium, and will clearly be missed. The fee agreed between the two clubs is undisclosed.

It isn't all bad news for Regent fans, however, as last years Supporters Player of the Season, Jake Turner, has rejoined the club from AFC Sudbury!
