Three Bees

A trio for Basildon United

Basildon United yesterday announced three signings, and you may well find each of them in the squad as they travel to Colney Heath today.

Carlos“Rudy”Da Rocha is an attacking midfielder who has played at a much higher level, including spells with Deportivo La Coruna in Spain, Circle Brugge in Belgium and Belenenses in Portugal, as well as, more recently, Waterford in Ireland. He is an Angolan international.

Forward Valter Rocha has also played in Portugal, but more recently has been rather closer to home at Kings Lynn Town, Thetford Town, Mildenhall Town, Brightlingsea Regent and Norwich CBS- and coincidentally is apparently Rudy's brother.

Ruben Carvalho has most recently been with Potters Bar Town, and indeed has made six appearances this season. He was previously an Under 18 player with Wingate and Finchley, playing for the Middlesex County Under 18 side too.

Where next?

Goals galore in the Premier! Lewes get six, Invicta five, East Thurrock mount a magnificent comeback- and we’ve also the return of Guernsey and some fabulous Trophy results. It’s our round up.
