Three more Wasps

East Grinstead Town confirm two more players returning from last season- and one new arrival

East Grinstead Town yesterday confirmed three additions to their squad for the forthcoming season- and whilst only two of them played for the club during the last campaign, all three will be well known to the Wasps faithful.

Drew Cooney and Michael Uwezu are the duo returning from last season. Michael made ten appearances, the first on New Years Day. He began his career as a youth at Arsenal and Fulham, and has played for Lincoln City, Dulwich Hamlet, Northampton Town, Forest Green Rovers and Thamesmead Town, as well as spending a couple of seasons playing in Sweden. Drew made sixteen appearances, and has also played for Horsham, Redhill and Croydon, and has spent time on loan at Langney Wanderers.

The 'new' arrival is Dan Smith. Keeper Dan made thirty three appearances for the club in 2017-18, and another in 2018-19, and is back to pick up the number one jersey once more. He's also spent some time at Crowborough Athletic.
