Three new Blues

Ansu Janneh, Alfie Cue and Reise Allasani are new at Wingate & Finchley

Wingate & Finchley had three new names in their squad as they welcomed Haringey Borough on Boxing Day.

Midfielder Ansu Janneh comes in on loan from National League side Dagenham & Redbridge. He was with Pitching In Isthmian South East side Lancing last season, and after trials with Norwich City and Aldershot Town was snapped up by the Daggers in March after seven first team appearances with the Lancers. He was previously with Hastings United. He is contracted in East London until at least the end of next season.

Alfie Cue first came to prominence at Dartford. He left the Darts to move to Hitchin Town in January 2019, but remained there only until the end of that season as he found the travelling from his home in South London rather too much. He ended up at Hertford Town and managed to score seven goals in eleven appearances, some going for a midfielder. In between Hitchin and Hertford he managed a handful of matches for VCD Athletic- and will also be remembered by Leatherhead fans, as he spent some time on loan there whilst a Dart. He moved on to play for East Thurrock United, and has more recently been with Cheshunt- indeed this is a dual registration move.

Reise Allasani, a winger, came through the youth setup at Crystal Palace but it was with Dulwich Hamlet that he really found his way. During their Isthmian Premier promotion season of 2017-18 he scored seventeen goals, catching the eye of Coventry City and making the move to the Midlands shortly afterwards.

Whilst with the Sky Blues he had loan spells with Ebbsfleet United, Woking and Hamlet, and eventually headed back to Champion Hill on a permanent basis, making eighteen appearances last season. As a youth, he played for England at Under 16 and Under 17 level. He started this season with Carshalton Athletic, but quickly headed to Leatherhead, where he scored two goals in nine appearances.
