Thursday's Ryman Premier action review

By David Watters

Bognor Regis Town ended a run of three successive defeats to rekindle their Ryman Premier title hopes with comprehensive 4-0 win at Leylands Park against Sussex rivals Burgess Hill Town on Thursday night, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

In front of an excellent crowd of 510, the Rocks raced to a 3-0 lead by the 31st minute with two goals from Jason Prior after 19 minutes from the penalty spot and then five minutes later from open play and a third from Daryl Wollers.

Bognor eased off in the second half as the Hillians produced a few chances to reduce the deficit. But substitute James Crane added a fourth for the Rocks with five minutes to go to leave them nine points adrift of leaders Hampton & Richmond Borough with two games still in hand.
