Matt Johnson swaps Stortford for Billericay

Billericay Town's strengthening under new boss Gary McCann continues, with the signing of Bishop's Stortford's promotion-winning midfielder Matt Johnson.

Matt Johnson stepped down a level to join Stortford from Braintree Town last summer, and was an immediate success, playing forty four times as the Blues took the title. It was his second spell with Stortford, as he spent more than four years with the Blues earlier in his career, making one hundred and forty one appearances.

As well as Stortford and Braintree he has turned out for Hornchurch, Enfield Town, Chelmsford City, Dover Athletic and Rushden & Diamonds- and he has also previously played for Billericay.
