Tuesday's Ryman Premier action review

By David Watters

Dulwich Hamlet had to come from behind twice against Hampton & Richmond Borough to secure a point from a 3-3 thriller at Champion Hill in the Ryman Premier on Tuesday night, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

In front of a crowd of 555, Hampton opened the scoring on 14 minutes as Charlie Moone fired home from the edge of the box. Hamlet equalised on 33 minutes through Damian Scannell and then took the lead two minutes later with Kevin James' shot from 20 yards.

The Beavers came back just before the break after the referee spotted a handball in the Dulwich box, Dean Sinclair chipping the spot-kick past Phil Smith. Hampton re-took the lead on 50 minutes as Pacquette beat Smith at his near post from a tight angle to make it 3-2.

But with just 13 minutes to go, Dulwich equalised as Calum Willock deflected a Mitchell Nelson cross past Seb Brown.

In contrast, with a long list of players absent through injury, Kingstonian extended their unbeaten run to six with a goalless draw at in-form Bognor Regis Town.

Harrow Borough moved above Bognor into third place after a 1-0 win at Merstham, Marc Charles-Smith bagging the only goal at the Moatside Stadium two minutes after half-time.

Canvey Island ensured second-bottom VCD Athletic remain win-less after a 2-1 success at The Prospects Stadium.

Martin Tuohy gave the Gulls a 26th minute lead but the Vickers were back on level terms a minute before the break through Aaron Wickham. Tuohy`s second on the hour-mark eventually secured Canvey`s win.

Metropolitan Police made it five games without a win after suffering a 6-0 hammering at New Lodge by Billericay Town.

Mike Fondop Talom gave the home side a 12th minute lead that was doubled four minutes before the break by Teddy Nesbitt. Recent recruit Cliff Akurang added number three on 57 minutes and Alex Stephenson number four with 19 minutes to go.

Two goals in the final five minutes from Onome Sodje and Shane Cojocarel then made it six for the Blues.
