Tuesday's Ryman Premier action review

By David Watters

Hampton & Richmond Borough returned to the top of the Ryman Premier Division table with a 3-0 win at relegation-threatened Brentwood Town on Tuesday night, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

Eddie Hutchinson opened the scoring when he was on hand to force home a Moussa Diarra header in the fourth minute.

The lead was extended on 17 minutes after Josh Casey's long run towards the box ended with the ball finding Jamal Lowe who buried it past keeper Ollie Bowles.

Hampton consolidated their position as Brentwood huffed and puffed and on 68 minutes killed the match with Lowe on hand to convert a loose Brendan Kiernan cross from close range to make it 3-0.

Third-placed Tonbridge Angels completed the `double` over Enfield Town, courtesy of a strong second half performance at Longmead that was lit up by a double strike from Luke Blewden in a 3-1 win.

Sonny Miles opened the Angels` account after 26 minutes and, after Cory Whitely had equalised eight minutes later, Blewden struck in the 50th and 64th minutes to seal victory.

Billericay Town missed the chance to slip into the top five when they were held to a 1-1 draw at New Lodge by bottom-markers Lewes.

Alex Stephenson broke the deadlock to give the Essex hosts the lead three minutes after the interval before the Rooks levelled 12 minutes from time through sub Josh Street.

Despite earning an excellent point, they are still eleven points behind fourth-bottom Needham Market.

Harrow Borough pulled themselves well clear of the drop zone thanks to their 3-0 Earlsmead victory over a Grays Athletic side who were looking to get back into the play-off picture.

David Taylor gave Boro a 21st minute lead that Fejiri Okerabirhie added to four minutes after the break. And Okerabirhie made it 3-0 and game over two minutes from time.
