Two Blues

Met Police bring in Julien Saka and Eli Nichols

Metropolitan Police yesterday added two new names to their squad for the upcoming Pitching In Isthmian South Central campaign.

Full back Julien Saka spent some time at Basildon United last season, signing on as a Bee in January and making five appearances. He was previously with South Park and Tooting & Mitcham United, as he appears on a transfer list between the two clubs from November 2019, but we can't actually find reference to a match he played in- unless you know different?

He played three times for Ashford Town at the start of the 2021-22 season before moving on to one of our former clubs, Soham Town Rangers, and at the time he joined Basildon was on a dual registration deal with St Ives Town.

He was also previously with Chessington & Hook United and Colliers Wood United.

Eli Nichols, who can play in defence and midfield, came through the youth setup at Bristol City and played for Frome Town, Paulton Rovers and had a first spell with Met before first coming to our attention with East Grinstead Town, where he played twice at the start of the 21-22 campaign. He quickly moved to Enfield Town, where he played three times, and also spent time with Colney Heath.
