Two debutants, three goalkeepers, four new signings

Bedfont Sports announced a selection of new transfer deadline day additions before heading to Hampshire and walloping Basingstoke Town- although given the form they've been in we didn't think they needed strengthening!

Goalkeeper Andrew McCorkell came in from Chalfont St Peter, and was thrust straight into the side for a thrilling debut. Andrew has already played thirty four times for Saints this season, including in two defeats against his new club. Andrew previously played for Hayes & Yeading United, Hendon, St Albans City, Northwood, Maidstone United and Chesham, and was a youth player with MK Dons.

Montell Joseph comes in from Northwood- another goalkeeper, because you can never have too many, and has played ten times for Woods this season. He previously played for Barking, Hendon and Boreham Wood.

Cairo Richards is a...goalkeeper, and comes in from Welling United, but was formerly a Sports youth player. He's gone out on a dual registration deal with Flackwell Heath in the Spartan South Midlands Premier, ready to be called back should an asteroid strike fell the two keepers in front of him!

Finally, Ethan Nelson-Roberts is...NOT a goalkeeper! He comes in from Combined Counties side Guildford City, and made his debut with a few minutes of Saturday's match remaining. A former Wimbledon youth player who did break briefly into the senior squad, and a St Kitts & Nevis international, the midfielder might be recognisable to some of you because of his time at Cheshunt. He made nineteen appearances for the Ambers during 2019-20.
