Two for Becks

By Ian Townsend

Damian Niemczycki and Henry Griffin are new at Beckenham Town

Promotion-chasing Beckenham Town had two new names in their squad as they defeated Sittingbourne on Saturday, one of them playing the entire ninety minutes and keeping an important clean sheet.

Goalkeeper Damian Niemczycki has arrived on a dual-registration deal from Braintree Town. Damian, six foot three in his socks and undoubtedly taller in his boots, has no shortage of Pitching In Isthmian experience despite his tender years. Last season he spent time at Ashford United, where he made seven appearances- six victories. He also appeared in the Premier Division with Merstham, playing twice, and for VCD Athletic, playing once- and turned out for Billericay Town, then in National League South.

Most recently he has been plying his trade in Pitching In Southern Premier, where he has played for Hartley Wintney.

As a callow youth (he's twenty years old, he's still a callow youth) he played junior and youth football with Arsenal and Oxford United.

Full back Henry Griffin spent his first match on the bench, after arriving from Dartford. Henry has been part of the Darts Under 19 side.
