Two new Blues

By Ian Townsend

SinnKaye Christie and Harvey Smith new for Margate

Margate had two debutants as they drew at Hastings United on Saturday- although one of them was making a second debut.

SinnKaye Christie moved down to Hartsdown Park from Cray Wanderers. The defender joined Wands in the summer, making the step up from Haywards Heath Town. He was a big part of Heath's play off charge last season, making forty two appearances up to and including their Play Off Semi-Final shootout defeat.

He joined Heath from Tooting and Mitcham United, and previously had two spells at Whitehawk and two spells with Merstham. He also spent time with Hastings United, and was formerly an Under 21 player at Leatherhead. This season has seen him make twenty two appearances- and he had a great start for Gate, being named man of the match.

Harvey started the season at Gate, making nine appearances- with three goals- before a return to one of his previous clubs, Corinthian. He made three Corinthian appearances on this occasion. He spent a little time with Ramsgate before his first arrival at Hartsdown Park, having joined the Rams from Corinthian, where he played seventeen times and scored five goals last season.
