Two Sussex Saints

Chalfont make two Sussex signings

South Central Chalfont St Peter have signed two players from Sussex clubs- and gave both their Saints debut in Saturday's two-two draw at Barking.

Goalkeeper Sam Freeman came in from Three Bridges. He'd only been at Jubilee Fields since the end of November, having started the season in the South Central Division at South Park- where he made ten appearances, keeping three clean sheets, and was the winner of our AB1 Golden Gloves Award for the South Central Division in October. He played only twice for Bridges, in defeat at Whyteleafe and a draw with Burgess Hill Town.

The Hillians were the former club of defender Kayode Conteh, who was on the bench for that match at Jubilee Field. Kay also started the season at South Park, making twelve appearances before following his former manager Jay Lovett to the Green Elephants Stadium. He previously turned out for Chessington and Hook United, Croydon, Frimley Green and Egham Town, leaving the Sarnies- who these days are in the Combined Counties Football League- in September and stepping straight into Sparks backline, making his debut in a three-nil win over Staines Town.
