Urchins bring in Osborn

National League South midfielder stays in Essex

Hornchurch yesterday announced the signing of Chelmsford City midfielder/forward Alex Osborn. The former Grays Athletic youth was not in the squad that travelled to Margate last night, so will perhaps make a debut at Bishop's Stortford on Saturday.

Alex made his Grays debut in 2009-10, and then went on to play for Dagenham and Redbridge. He also turned out for Thurrock, had a first spell with Chelmsford, and played more Isthmian football with Billericay Town. He spent three seasons turning out for Ebbsfleet United, and also had loans with Concord Rangers, Hayes & Yeading United, Maidstone United and Whitehawk.

In more recent years he's played for Hemel Hempstead Town, and last season made eighteen appearances for East Thurrock United between Boxing Day and the end of the campaign. He joined Chelmsford City for the second time in May last year.
