Ware to host charity match on Sunday

Wodson Park the venue for charity spectacular- and Teddy Sheringham will be pulling on his boots!

Ware FC have announced that they are hosting a charity match this coming Sunday, aimed at raising funds for Tierney Kinsella, who needs life-saving medical treatment.

Tierney is a family friend of Ware youth coach Lee Baldwin and has been attending Presdales School from her home in Stanstead Abbotts. She has been fighting cancer since 2015, and is now in need of immunotherapy vaccines which are only available in Germany. This treatment is not accessible through normal state health care systems so she needs to raise the necessary funds herself- and this match, which will apparently feature former Spurs, Millwall and Manchester United legend Teddy Sheringham, is designed to help.

Gates will open at 2pm, there will be a £5 admission charge (£1 under 16s), and the match will kick off at 3pm. There will also be a raffle and an auction, and all funds and proceeds from the day go towards Tierney's life saving treatment.

If you can't get to the match, you can still help. Visit Tierney's Go Fund Me page, here.

There will be further updates this week on the Ware FC website, here.
