Wednesday Night Football

We've one match in the Velocity Cup, and two in the Reposs Isthmian Women's Cup- with hosts Enfield, Enfield Town and Cheshunt

The Velocity Cup Second Round continues tonight with the meeting of Enfield and Bowers & Pitsea at the R&D Advisors Stadium (Bishop's Stortford). The E's have had so many squad changes of late that it's difficult to keep up, following the tragic passing of their main sponsor, and having played only one match in a month- defeat at Redbridge on September 16th- it would be rather foolhardly to make any claims about form, or the lack of it. The visitors, have blown a little hot and cold so far this season, but look to finally have a settled side and will hope to bounce back from their penalty defeat in the FA Trophy on Saturday, which followed a narrow defeat at Felixstowe & Walton United.

The First Round of the Reposs Isthmian Women's Cup continues with two matches within a stonesthrow of each other, so the denizens of the Enfield and Cheshunt area will have a choice to make. Enfield Town Ladies of the London South East Regional Women's Football League welcome...Bowers and Pitsea Ladies of the Eastern Region Women's Football League Premier Division, which may cause confusion for Bowers fans across the board with both sides playing an 'Enfield.' We suggest you check before setting out, there are many miles between the two Enfield sides at home this evening, and only one of them actually play in Enfield! Bowers Ladies are currently in eighth place in their league, whilst the Towners women are in eleventh and looking for their first win, but of course have only played three league matches so far.

Up the road from Donkey Lane, we have a contest between Cheshunt and Dulwich Hamlet. The Ambers Ladies are in mid table in Eastern Region Women's Football League Division One South, but are in decent form, defeating Hertford Town and Grays Athletic already this month. The Hamlet play in the London & South East Regional Women's Premier Division, sit in eighth place, and won their last league match against Ashford United by two goals to nil.

Kick off in all three matches is at 7.45 PM.
