Wednesday Night Football!

By Ian Townsend

We’re off to the seaside, as Gorleston welcome Brightlingsea Regent

We’ve one match tonight, and all roads lead to Great Yarmouth- not because we want a stick of rock or some fish and chips from Grelly’s (although surely that comes a close second), but because Gorleston welcome Brightlingsea Regent.

It’s a mid table battle, eleventh v tenth- and a home win would see the sides swap places. The Greens are four unbeaten and in fine form, Regent are also on an upward trajectory with three wins from their last four, so there may not be much riding on the outcome but we suspect the football will be entertaining nonetheless.

Gorleston have lost only two of their last ten on their own patch, so we suspect they’ll be slight favourites- particularly because Regent have won only two of their last ten on the road.

Kick off is- of course- at 7.45 PM.
