Former England striker Steve Bull has been helping Margate chairman and owner Bob Laslett strengthen the links between the Ryman Premier club and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Bull, 49, a legend at the Championship outfit after making nearly 500 appearances and scoring 250 goals between 1986 and 1999, is pictured giving Laslett a tour of the club's new £7 million Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Academy.

Margate's chairman was previously a director of Wolves and through his company, Laslett International, continues to support the club through sponsorship. An impressed Laslett, who took control of the the Ryman Premier leaders and his hometown club last season, hopes his visit will boost the growing links between the two clubs.

He said: "The facilities here are fantastic and will help the club bring on even more special talent. Wolves have always had an interest in developing their own talent and this new facility will help them enable that even further.

"I hope that in the future we at Margate will have facilities like this but in the meantime I hope ourselves and Wolves continue to enjoy a strong relationship that can benefit both parties."
