Ambers start hunt for new secretary and stalwart

Ambitious Cheshunt have started the hunt to replace former secretary Alex Kalinic who sadly passed away in April.

The Ambers announced on Friday that the formal recruitment process to find a successor at Theobalds Lane for their late club stalwart was now underway.

An Ambers fan since his school days in the 1970s and also the club's historian, the father-of-two was 57 and had been battling cancer since 2012.

Cheshunt chairman Dean Williamson, who has set a closing date for potential successors to apply for the post of Friday 29 May, says secretarial experience at Step 4 or higher in Non-League's pyramid is important but not essential.

Applications including a CV should be sent to the Ambers chairman at: dean@cheshuntfc.com. Officials say they will be treated in the strictest confidence.
