Tractor Boys target second teen

AFC Sudbury's teen star Tyler French is on the verge of a dream move to Ipswich Town after being offered a trial by the Championship club only a month after signing a three year deal to play in the Ryman Premier.

The 17-year-old defender, who kicked off his career in Long Melford's youth system, won his chance ahead of the weekend's action after blossoming in the Suds academy since arriving from Hadleigh United.

Pictured signing his contract for manager Jamie Godbold at the Wardale Williams Stadium in September, the talented teenager has played for the club's reserves, U18s, U21s and first-team this term.

The Tractor Boys have stepped up their hunt for talent in Non-League and the Ryman League's top flight in particular this season under manager Mick McCarthy.
