Wanderers sign Hall

Dorking sign Merstham star

Dorking Wanderers have announced the signing of 25 year old winger Reece Hall from fellow Bostik Premier Division neighbours Merstham.

Hall, who can play on both right and left wings, arrives at Dorking’s Meadowbank stadium after more three seasons with the Moatsiders, including scoring in the 2-2 draw between Wanderers and Merstham in August. He came through the ranks at Crystal Palace before starting his senior career at Tooting and Mitcham FC and going on to play for Redhill, Staines Town and Kingstonian.

“We’re in a serious hunt for the promotion play-off places, so we can’t afford to take any risks – we need to have strength in depth in all areas,” explained manager Marc White.

“Matt Briggs is still around a month from returning to training and will need time to get up to speed after missing so much football this year, and we’ve had Tom Richards playing every game – even, on Saturday, just a few days after coming off with an injury.

”So this is an area of the squad where we need more options at the moment at the moment and Reece is a top quality winger who will give us that.”

Reece Hall has gone straight into the squad for tonight’s Bostik Premier Division fixture at Haringey Borough, kicking off at 7:45pm
